I am reading Magali Reghezza-Zitt's book (in French) entitled "Welcome to 2055: in a carbon-neutral world". At that time, even if we successfully reach carbon neutrality, we will not say "summer" anymore. Instead we will say "hot season". This year's heatwaves in Europe are a powerful sign of this on-going change. The book explains quite well how we need collective and social answers, along with low-carbon investment policies, in order to adapt and to be better at anticipating such events. As I walk through the local train station in Montpellier in the South of France, the roof of the station seems to me to be a good example: it was designed more than 10 years ago as a shaded "nave" equipped with mist sprayers, resulting in a comfortable temperature.
