We are spending family holidays in Brittany in Northwest France, a regional well-known for its cool, damp climate. We failed to escape the heatwave that was affecting all of Europe. Afternoons and nights were incredibly hot. The ocean waters turned to an unusual turquoise due to a perfectly blue sky.
